Due to the success of the 50/50 Red Boy–Jocko x Bolio/Tombstone split that produced Madonna, we sought the highest-quality opportunity available to continue that direction with precision and intent. That opportunity presented itself when semen from a half-brother to the legendary Mayday—the very dog that inspired the project from the beginning—became available. This dog was the legendary producer  Aycart’s Little John ROM.

With the semen DNA profiled and on file with both BFKC and the ADBA, no ambiguity as to identity or provenance existed. It was an opportunity we could not ignore. With multiple breeding units available, it became clear that this acquisition represented more than a single mating—it was the chance to secure the family for generations.

We did not hesitate.

The result of surgically implanted frozen semen into Madonna was the great Mrs. Bumper. With her arrival, the family was not only preserved—it was alive and thriving once again.

How is frozen semen legitimized? Lets catch the APBT world up with science.

The frozen semen legitimization process is among the most thorough and verifiable methods of establishing parentage in the world.

The process begins during the animal’s lifetime and requires the direct involvement of the animal’s owner as the first step. Collection must then be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Each semen vial (straw) is individually numbered, recorded, and signed for by the veterinarian, with full accounting of all straws collected.

These identification numbers must match exactly at the time of use. From collection forward, the semen must remain in the custody of a licensed veterinarian at all times. At no point is the semen in the possession of the owner.

Finally, insemination must be performed by a licensed veterinarian, who is required to verify that the straw numbers match the original collection records. The veterinarian must document the date of collection, the specific straws used, the date of insemination, and formally sign off on the use of the semen.

This verification chain is non-negotiable.

As shown below, in Form AIFS, Section 3, the inseminating veterinarian is required to list:

Only a licensed veterinarian can complete and certify this process.

Semen ownership documentation is filed with the registration office prior to use and is used to confirm that all semen vials—numbered at collection and held by a licensed veterinarian—were stored at a veterinary clinic under the owner’s name. At all times, from the day of collection through final use, custody of the semen remains exclusively with licensed veterinary professionals.
