Titan Kennels (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement on titankennels.net (“the Site”) in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL(s) where the material is located on the Site.

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification.

5. Repeat Infringers

We may terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than once and/or has had content removed from the Site more than once.

6. Photo and Image Copyright

Users who upload photographs to the Site represent that they own the copyright to those images or have obtained permission from the copyright holder. Dog photographs submitted to pedigree records should be photos you have taken yourself or have explicit permission to use. Stock photos, watermarked images, and photos taken from other websites without permission are prohibited.

7. Pedigree Data

Factual pedigree information (names, dates, registration numbers) is generally not subject to copyright protection. However, original descriptions, commentary, photographs, and other creative content associated with pedigree entries are protected by copyright.

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees.
